Alyssa is a rising sophomore from the U.S. on a pre-med track. In her free time she plays sports like golf and practices archery. In addition, she enjoys writing and performing spoken word poetry, listening to science podcasts as well as TED talks.
In high school, Alyssa was All-Student Body (ASB) President, Co-Founder of the Astrophysics Club, Co-Founder of Poetry Club, Youth Council President, Golf Co-Captain, and School Newspaper Editor.
In addition, Alyssa co-authored a scientific research paper that was nationally recognized and participated in selective, state summer programs for both the sciences and arts. She also led multiple diversity groups at her school and was selected for numerous merit scholarships at American universities.
